How can you effectively learn German? Here are our tips:

- look for a qualified, experienced teacher and work with native speakers only
- dedicate some time for German everyday
- use the internet to listen to and watch authentic and up-to-date materials
- join a group of learners for motivational purposes
- look for a tandem partner in Germany (a person who lives in a German speaking country and  wants to learn your mother tongue) and start exchanging e-mails

- use Skype, Ning (our network is called Deutschnetzwerk: http://deutschnetzwerk.ning.com) or Second Life to meet other learners and native speakers

- take classes to advance your skills

- watch German movies in o-tone

- make plans to travel to Germany or to study in Germany

- look for free online exercises that will help you with grammar and vocabulary (coming soon on GermanConnect)

- learn German with books from German editors as they teach the language as if you were there
